TITLE: Custodian
PAY RATE: $11.74/hr
LOCATION: 1050 Tidewater Drive Norfolk, VA
SCHEDULE: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, 8:00 am – 5 pm, 9 – 5:30 pm, 4 pm – 11 pm; Monday – Sunday, 365 days a year
Job duties:
· Dusting of the headboards, windowsills, and any other furniture in need of dusting daily. Assists in the set up for special events and meetings, relocates furniture and other items as needed.
· Reports all maintenance issues detected to supervisor on duty.
· Sweeps and mops floors daily.
· Supply residents with clean sheets, towels wash clothes and toilet paper when requested.
· Disinfect inside and out toilets, bathtubs, sinks, shower (walls & floor).
· Clean window and mirror.
· Cleans out drains and drainage systems.
· Preventive maintenance on washing machine and dryer (i.e.: cleaning lent trap, making sure drainage is working properly)
· Stock all toiletries as needed. (Toilet paper, soap etc.)
· Keeps the sidewalks and parking lot clear of trash and debris.
· Removes trash from rooms and outside daily disposing of the trash in the dumpster.
· Performs support for emergency response team which reports to make sure location is and secure.
· And other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Follow oral and written instructions
· Communicate verbally and in writing e Maintain the strictest confidentiality and ethical standards
· Ability to work independently with little supervision
· Experience using a vacuum, buffer, industrial washer and dryer, cleaning supplies, hand tools, telephone, broom, ladder, lawn mower, weed eater
