The Manufacturing Engineer will provide engineering support to the Ozark motor plant within the Motion Business Area.
This position reports to
Manufacturing Operations Manager
Your responsibilities
- Improve and maintain a safe work environment. Serve as a technical resource for process improvement teams
- Process improvements using Lean Flex-Flow and 6 Sigma principles. Establish standard work and shop practices
- Creatively use available and developing technologies to improve manufacturing systems. Generate project approval justification and create formal capital asset requests. Execute turnkey projects from early design and development through on-site installation and implementation
- Ability to work on off shifts and weekends as needed. Confer with engineers, production personnel, maintenance, and others to resolve production issues, machine problems or malfunctions
- Must be able to work effectively with operators and other manufacturing support staff to solve problems and improve productivity
Your background
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required with minimum 0-2 years of experience
- Preferred experience includes:
- Project management use of Gantt charts, critical path method, cost estimation and budgeting
- Solid technical writing skills. Capital equipment justification experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel, AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
