This position involves heading a team in the Motion NEMA Motors, ensuring continuous and efficient production operations in line with plans, procedures and quality and safety standards and policies.
You will be responsible for supervising employees in the assembly department : planning and assigning work, applying policies and procedures and recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

Your responsibilities
- Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution
- Balances safety, quality, productivity, cost and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas
- Manages departmental performance measures, including 5S, continual improvement training and visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager
- Problem solving, analyzing and interpreting technical data
- Organizing and coordinating schedules
- Participation in overtime is a condition of employment. Normal working hours are Monday - Thursday / 10 hour days with additional Friday's as needed.
Your background
- Bachelor Degree with minimum 0-2 years experience OR Associate's Degree with minimum 4 years experience OR High School Diploma / GED with minimum 6 years experience.
- Assembly, Supervisory and Lean experience - Preferred.
- Microsoft Office products, Kronos, Compliant Pro and SAP / BUS (Baldor Unified System) experience - Preferred.
- Receive and understand oral and written technical instructions and respond in English
- Able to interpret technical information and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels completing complex projects under deadlines
- Willing to travel occasionally for meetings and training purposes - 10-15%
