You will be accountable for sales of Marine Service and Digital, Process Automation Marine & Ports (PAMP) in Miramar, Florida, driving sales volumes and margins. You will drive the sales performance of shore power and port electrification projects, upgrades and improvement projects for the ABB Marine and Ports business within the Americas. Developing, specifying and implementing effective sales and business-development initiatives in line with our regional strategy. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, Shore Power Solutions, you will work collaboratively with the local sales organization to lead sales activities, create added value for the customer and ABB, meet ambitious targets and exceed customer expectations.

Your responsibilities

  • Working with marketing and other departments to prepare sales plans and bids, ensuring technical and financial accuracy
  • Working with the wider sales team to identify and develop new market opportunities
  • Using your knowledge of customers needs and ABB's solutions to determine effective solutions for customers
  • Establishing strong customer relationships and maintaining a positive customer experience throughout the sales process, including post sale
  • Monitoring customer and market trends along with the marketing team to develop effective marketing activities
Your background

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of experience in direct sales and technical sales management, preferably in cruise / container ports, marine and ports or heavy industries market
  • Knowledge of PLC, HMI, variable frequency drives, motors, low and medium voltage power distribution
  • Demonstrated experience of business development, account management, cross selling and long term customer relationships
  • A clear grasp of negotiations, risk management, commercial and legal terms
  • A collaborative, solution focused approach, with strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
