Senior Accountant
Summary: Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Sr. Accountant performs a variety of professional level finance duties involved in preparing, maintaining, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling financial transactions, statements, records, and reports. This position is responsible for the preparation and analysis of the consolidated financial statements and will assist with the month end and year end close processes.
Essential Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules
- Analyze financial information, explain variances, and provide financial results to upper management with high level commentary
- Compile month-end data and record journal entries in the general ledger. Ensure entries are reasonable, accurate, timely, and adhere to GAAP
- Reconcile intercompany accounts for a multiply entities on a monthly basis
- Maintain and record shared service allocation model entries
- Preparation of quarterly financial reports including MD&A, lender covenants, and tax distribution reporting
- Ability to work across department and company lines, including Treasury functions and Financial Planning & Analysis functions
- Ability to develop financial models and reporting for G&A expenses and forecasts, including tracking, reviewing, and reporting G&A expenses monthly
- Create and prepare spreadsheets, calculations, comparisons or any other related materials needed by upper management for presentation at Board meetings, trade shows, Sales meetings, practice visits, Vision Expo, etc.
- Prepare cash forecasts for all bank accounts and update and change cash forecast models as needed; complete daily cash reporting to company executives
- Ensure bank accounts are properly funded; complete borrowings and repayments against the company’s revolver as necessary
- Interpret data affecting business decisions, such as price, product mix, stability, and future trends
- Maintain knowledge and stay abreast of developments in the fields of accounting and finance
- Assist with external audits for both financial reporting and taxes
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Awareness of and commitment to established internal controls
- Understanding QuickBooks software to perform a variety of accounting procedures and or reporting task.
- Ability to provide an adequate customer service to internal and external customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA license and/or Master’s Degree is required
- A minimum 5 years of experience in an Accounting or Financial analyst role
- Experience with QuickBooks.
- MS Office applications
- Advanced spreadsheet skills including pivot tables, sensitivity analysis, lookup functions, and importing/exporting data

For US Candidates
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $65,000 to $90,000.
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan.
