As a Buyer, you will play a vital role in the procurement and logistics team in Electrification Installation Products, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. You will aid the wider business by ensuring that all purchasing activities align with corporate policies and procedures and by providing relevant market information.

Procurement & Logistics Manager

Your responsibilities

• Purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms, negotiating with main suppliers and periodically renewing price lists, terms, and conditions
• Manage inventory, including current stock and new deliveries
• Initiate purchase orders according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures
• Oversee supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving performance issues
• Identify and qualify new suppliers together with supplier quality and engineering specialists
• Align supplier orders with customer requirements in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and price

Your background

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with 2-5 years of experience in purchasing and inventory management
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Require understanding specifications, contract law, commercial terms, standard procurement procedures and related Company policies
• A collaborative, solution focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
