Product Manager - Machinery Drives and Connectivity

Working as a Product Manager - Machinery Drives and Connectivity, you will be a key member of the marketing and sales team in Motion Drive Products, defining marketing plans, including marketing communication, training and sales initiatives. In this role, you will be accountable for driving profitable growth of the ABB Machinery drives offering to the Industrial and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) market, by developing it through all of its life cycle phases, according to the market needs and Product Group (PG) strategy and business targets for Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Cooling (HVAC) product portfolio for PG Drive Products, Business Line (BL) Drives in New Berlin, Wisconsin.

Your responsibilities

• Own the technical specification for regional products
• Lead regional product life cycle management
• Act as technical interface between external local market and internal technical cross functional teams
• Run product development process stage gates for regional products, own local product creation of global products and support production ramp up
• Own and approve the product manager defined tasks for product development process stage gates
• Continuously monitor competitive offerings, evaluating competing technologies and pricing strategies
• Define new product plans, sets technical, price, cost and application targets.
• Contribute to development of new portfolios by leading customer need and value analysis, prioritizes new product development project and coordinating cross functional teams
• Drive the development of the features based on customer value and relevance to the market
• Work with Global Product Management, local Product Market Manager and marketing to define the market communication strategy, including product launch planning and implementation

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5 years of work experience in a complex global business environment or Associate Degree with minimum 7 years of work experience in a complex global business environment or High School Diploma with minimum 9 years of experience required
• Progressive experience in product management and customer relationship management required
• Proven track record of cross functional collaboration, excellent stakeholder engagement and strategic mindset and passion to drive business results required
• Travel up to 10 percent
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English required
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
