Job Description
Responsible for a variety of tasks including collecting patient information, issuing
medical files, filing medical records, and processing patient admissions, transfers and discharge papers.
They ensure medical records are maintained in a manner compliance with ethical, legal and regulatory
requirements of the medical services system.

Duties & Responsibilities:
§ Assist with departmental audits and investigations.
§ Prepares the requested medical files for discharges, admissions and transfers.
§ Assists with ordering supplies.
§ Answers the phones in the medical department.
§ Assures the medical office is maintained clean.
§ Delivers the medical files to case managers or clinician.
§ Filing
§ Inventory of supplies.
§ Closing the discharge files and bringing to the file room.
§ Assures the medical files are organized and filed appropriately.
§ Issue medical files to persons and agencies according to laws and regulations
§ Responds appropriately to the individual and special needs of children.
§ Serves as a translator for any medical staff.
§ Follows up with the Asst. Director to verify medication has arrived and communicates this to the
Medical Coordinators.
§ Any other related duties as required.
About You:

- You have a minimum High School diploma
- You have one year’s experience in ORR or working in a medical office (preferred)
- You have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- You are Bilingual (Spanish –preferred), Multicultural.
- All mandated certifications must be taken.
