Job Description Summary
The Financial Analyst will execute and support transfer price setting process for affiliates in Europe, Asia Pacific, Japan, Latin America, Canada, manufacturing sites, and distribution centers. The price setting process involves the use of a daily model as well as a planning model for the annual cycle when all prices are re-established. Other projects include (not limited to): analysis of results to assess entity profitability; review of operating activities to identify opportunities to impact Abbott earnings; support of new product launch. The position interfaces with multiple Divisional Teams (e.g. Supply Chain, Product Master, Cost Master, Actual Reporting and Planning), Area HQ Commercial Finance Directors/Controllers, Affiliate Country Controllers, Plant Controllers, Corporate Tax, Corporate Customs, and International Order Entry.

Core Job Responsibilities:
- Provide shared service and support to multiple Abbott divisions (ADC, ADD, AMD, ANI, APOC, and EPD) and new acquisition/divestiture.
- Establish and provide daily transfer prices to international affiliates, manufacturing sites,
distribution centers and US commercials on a per request basis.
- Support the annual transfer price process by completing multiple tasks including, TP
package preparation, supply chain cleanup, entity P&L and expense profile analysis, target model and margin process, bill of material analysis, product pool review and update, ASP reasonableness check, and execution of the transfer price calculation.
- Process regular batch for transfer prices to be output into outbound systems, including RDMA for FMS/GER42, TP feeds for ALOG, APO, Avante, NOLA, SAP, and TCGM.
- Exercises discretion as to the distribution of transfer prices to preapproved requesters, as this data is extremely sensitive in nature.
- Establish transfer prices quickly and accurately and entering them into order entry system (e.g. SAP, BPCS) especially for new product launches where shipment of the product will be compromised without transfer prices.
- Verify the accuracy of average selling prices as this can adversely affect the net income of the marketing affiliates and consequently increase Abbott's tax liability to that country where the Abbott affiliate resides.
- Ad-hoc projects and tasks that includes, but not limited to, new product launch, audit support, TPSS system UAT, TPA analysis & support, and TP Document.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required;
Minimum Experience / Training Required:
1-3 years of related work experience to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position.
