Our location in Lake Bluff, IL currently has an opportunity for a Talent Deployment Specialist.
This person will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day activities of Abbott's Talent Deployment group focusing on the global assignment administrative process specifically on intercompany billing and tax program support. Role includes closely partnering with vendors, serving as a technical expert in billing administration and working directly with assignees. Partner with Payroll, Finance, HR, external tax and relocation providers to drive performance and efficiencies in the global mobility process.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
- Coordination of monthly, annual, and fiscal billing, relocation, and stock information.
- Work with our external global tax and relocation vendor on billing related questions and issues.
- Assist with new country set up such as implementation of inter-company billing process, tax payment process and partnering with internal business groups.
- Partner with Payroll, Finance, HR, Travel, and other internal groups to build relationships to coordinate the talent deployment payroll process.
- Identify areas for process improvements with the billing and tax equalization administration process and implement solutions.
- Assist with escalated issues.
- Communicate directly with our global assignee population on tax equalization payment questions/inquiries.
- Leverage technology to build efficiencies and process improvements.
- Involved in creating communications to assignees, managers and HR pertaining to billing and tax equalization payments
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting, Finance or Economics majors preferred.
- Participation in university study abroad program strongly desired.
- Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in accounting/payroll or educational equivalent
- Significant experience/Intermediate User of Microsoft Access and Excel
- Understanding of the inter-company billing process
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Takes accountability and follows up in a timely manner
- Able to identify issues that need to be escalated
