We offer members a private outdoor pool, seven tennis courts, and recreational activities such as swimming, pickleball, and tennis. Job Summary:
Abbott Run Valley Club seeks a Club Manager to oversee daily operations, staff management, and program coordination. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Club Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of all club activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage swim and administration staff, including scheduling and payroll coordination.
- Maintain pool, facilities, and grounds.
- Ensure a safe operational environment.
- Oversee existing club programs, including swim lessons.
- Plan and execute club activities and events.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to foster a welcoming and safe environment.
- Coordinate special events and activities for members and guests.
- Maintain effective communication with staff, board, and members.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with youth and/or in customer-facing hospitality role.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to adapt to varying work hours and seasonal demands.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous club management, teaching, or camp experience.
- Lifeguard certification.
- Experience with pool maintenance and/or as a certified pool manager.
General Responsibilities:
- Direct day-to-day club operations.
- Ensure the delivery of a safe and engaging summer program.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of club facilities.
- Implement routines and procedures for successful operation.
- Monitor safety protocols and member supervision.
- Manage budget and financial reporting.
- Handle member and guest concerns professionally.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate seasonal staff ensuring a positive staff environment.
- Create and oversee dynamic program offerings.
- Maintain club communications and online presence.
- Conduct property maintenance assessments.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move about property in various environmental conditions.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds
