The position of Accounting Manager is within our Toxicology business unit, within our finance team, located United States (hybrid) and will be a part of our Workplace Services business, which is committed to developing and delivering innovative products and services. These products and services automate and streamline the employee screening process by combining cutting-edge technology with superior customer service.
The Accounting Manager will oversee a team of seven accountants and accounts payable associates and will be responsible for leading the month-end close and accounting processes for four legal entities, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial results and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee a team of seven Accountants and Accounts Payable associates, leading the month-end close process and accounting oversight of four legal entities
- Maintain a strong control environment, ensuring controls are in place and operating effectively; implement new policies and / or controls where necessary
- Analyze monthly income statement and balance sheet results to forecast, budget and / or prior year, identifying and documenting key business drivers of variances
- Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to reduce manual processes
- Prepare monthly financial reporting and assist in preparation of reporting package to stakeholders, ensuring consistency, accuracy and integrity of deliverables
- Assist with special projects and prepare ad-hoc analysis to support strategic decision-making (e.g., "what if" analysis)
- Coordinate and execute on-time submission of a high-volume of deliverables to divisional accounting
- Develop expertise in all applicable financial-related systems and processes
- Develop and manage training, professional development, performance management and mentoring for the accounting organization
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- A minimum of 6 - 8 years of progressive Accounting experience
- A minimum of three or more years in a Management role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree
- Licensed Certified Public Accountant
- Diverse professional background including a combination of public and private accounting experience
- Experience working in an organization with a strong internal control environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in working with an ERP system
COMPETENCIES:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong project and time management skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and business acumen
- Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of financial statements and US GAAP
