Graphic Designer

Fast paced sign company is looking for the right candidate to join our team as a Graphic Designer. Candidate must be personable, courteous, and able to work quickly with a diverse customer base and with attention to detail. Job requires working with other team members in an office environment to meet goals and customer deadlines.

This is NOT a freelance position.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for creation of designs and proof design concepts and working closely with customers.
• Work on multiple projects at once, and consistently meet draft deadlines.
• Communicate frequently with clients to update them on the progress of the project and to answer any questions they might have.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Operate large format printer, laminator, and plotter.
• Ability to weed, apply transfer tape, and cut vinyl graphics.
• Prepare and apply vinyl to different surfaces.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of products.
• Continually learning new processes to increase efficiency as well as maintaining proficiency in operation of all current equipment.
• Assist in various other departments within the company, as needed, in order to meet daily business needs as a whole.
• Perform all related duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
• Answering the phones and greeting customers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed

• Deadline-driven creative thinker.
• Must be organized and detail orientated. Attention to detail is a must.
• Experience with “Flexi” Sign Software, Adobe Creative Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Understand basic math and square footage calculations.
• Measure H X W X D using a tape measure.
• Read, interpret, and complete work instructions.

Job Type: Full-time (32-40hrs)

Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm/as needed
