Responsible for assembling automotive parts while adhering to a specified set of blueprints. The assembler will monitor the correct quantity and quality of finished material, manage parts inventory, and use hand tools and mechanical equipment. Objectives:
Operate machinery safely, accurately, and efficiently
Meet production fulfillment needs of customers
Maintain high standards of company procedures and codes of conducts
Uphold manufacturing process that is safe, efficient, and sanitary
Responsibilities
Read blueprints and assembly instructions
Positions or aligns components and parts
Uses hand tools or machines to assemble product
Conducts quality checks on all products
Cleans and maintains work area and equipment
Prepares work to be accomplished by understanding parts list, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
Assembles components by examining connects for correct fit, fastening parts, and subassemblies
Quality checks on finished products
Resolves assembly problems; notifies supervisor
Maintains inventory of bins
Documentation of production and quality forms
Training of employees as directed by Supervisors
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
3 months of relevant manufacturing experience
Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions
Ability to lift 15lbs
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
High School diploma or GED
