Overview

Responsible for assembling automotive parts while adhering to a specified set of blueprints. The assembler will monitor the correct quantity and quality of finished material, manage parts inventory, and use hand tools and mechanical equipment. Objectives:

  • Operate machinery safely, accurately, and efficiently
  • Meet production fulfillment needs of customers
  • Maintain high standards of company procedures and codes of conducts
  • Uphold manufacturing process that is safe, efficient, and sanitary

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and assembly instructions
  • Positions or aligns components and parts
  • Uses hand tools or machines to assemble product
  • Conducts quality checks on all products
  • Cleans and maintains work area and equipment
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by understanding parts list, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
  • Assembles components by examining connects for correct fit, fastening parts, and subassemblies
  • Quality checks on finished products
  • Resolves assembly problems; notifies supervisor
  • Maintains inventory of bins
  • Documentation of production and quality forms
  • Training of employees as directed by Supervisors
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3 months of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions
  • Ability to lift 15lbs
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • High School diploma or GED
