Position Summary:

This position is responsible for selling used parts and products, serves customers, and supports company growth by assisting customers with purchases, and solving customer problems.

Level of Authority:

Performs routine duties independently in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Work Environment:

Most of the work is performed in a fast-paced office setting with frequent interruptions. Potential for remote work setting

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Performs daily sales functions by answering incoming sales call, relaying appropriate information to supporting departments, assisting counter customers.
Completes daily administrative functions by entering orders, maintaining daily sales log, submitting customer credit information to appropriate departments.
Attends farm shows as needed and requested, assisting with product displays. Represents the company in a professional manner.
Runs credit card authorizations, and completes purchase orders when necessary.
Assists Accounting with collecting past due accounts, reviewing accounts to audit customer discrepancies.
Makes follow up calls to customers regarding their account status.
Participates in company tradeshow activities as requested by management.
Maintains sales knowledge by attending and participating in sales meetings, product seminars, and sales training.
Keeps updated on computer software as it relates to sales and inventory.
Assists in pricing, researching competitive pricing, and other projects as assigned by Supervisor.
Attends all company training, employee meetings or other events as directed by management.

Qualifications and Capabilities:

Technical

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
5 years of experience within the Agricultural induustry
Should have experience in customer service and sales.
Must have excellent phone handling and communication skills.
Must be proficient with the computer.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Physical

Ability to occasionally lift, carry, bend, stoop, and exert 20-50 pounds of force.
Ability to stand and walk, as needed throughout the day.
Ability to sit and use computer workstation, including keyboard and visual display terminal, for extended periods of time.
Finger, hand, and wrist dexterity.

Other

Effective communication/comprehension skills-verbal and written
Self motivated and goal oriented
Able to work alone or with minimal supervision
Ability to exhibit good judgment and adaptable to different situations
Must be punctual-in work area ready to work on time.
