What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Professional position at Ability Advocates?
Ability Advocates provides services to adults with disabilities, connecting them with the community through fun daily activities.
Responsibilities include: providing transportation, direct supervision, behavior intervention, following service plans, writing daily notes, providing person specific and trauma informed care, attending meetings & trainings
Must be comfortable with direct care services which can include assisting with toileting, feeding, changing, mobility assistance, and assistance with ADLs, and IADLs
Background check, clean DMV record, CPR/First Aid, reliable transportation & car insurance required.
1 Year working in Special Education or with the Developmental Disabilities population preferred. Ongoing training and support provided.
