The US Head of Transformation Delivery is responsible for ensuring successful delivery and governance of the most important change programs across the US Bank.
Change projects span business and functional support areas to drive strategic, technical, and regulatory change aligned to the Bank's highest priorities.
Change is prioritized and tied to enabling growth, servicing our customers, and ensuring safe and sound operations and business practices.
As our US Head of Transformation Delivery you will :
- Promote effective stakeholder management defined by high-touch consultative support, high quality change portfolio analytics, deft relationship management, and conflict resolution
- Play a central role in financial resource planning to ensure all change efforts are appropriately funded relative to scope and resource requirements
- Ensure resourcing of change teams is balanced against demand broadly and with consideration to specialist expertise needed, identifying skill gaps.
Make resource allocation decisions to optimize utilization
- Prioritize employee engagement to maintain high team morale. Solicit and act on feedback
- Oversee the Organizational Change Management Office (OCMO) tasked monitoring and assurance of change governance principles
- Represent that change is being managed effectively to various oversight bodies including regulators and risk committees
- Identify opportunities to deploy these resources to drive more straight-through processing, a stronger control environment, and organizational efficiencies
- Engage in continuous external market sensing to bring innovation and leading edge thinking to driving enterprise-wide change
- Recognize that digital transformation is fundamental to enterprise transformation, which requires technical solutions be designed, tested, and delivered to specifications with pace
- Prioritize ways of working that enable the Transformation Delivery organization to partner closely with business and functional Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and their teams for successful delivery of technical solutions upon which transformation programs are dependent
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead a large change organization
- Familiarity with, and appreciation for Agile delivery methods, in contrast to waterfall project management
- Executive level experience providing leadership across a variety of business disciplines
- Agility and ability to quickly take on oversight of matters with limited prior exposure
- Expert in change management (governance, planning, tracking, reporting, change control, stakeholder management, communications)
- Flexibility and adaptability - constantly changing priorities and tasks that are potentially highly restricted in nature, unpredictable and wide ranging, complex and time sensitive requires the simultaneous handling of a broad range of issues
- Stakeholder considerations - the role the highest quality, most succinct output that is suitable for senior executive management and external parties (including regulators) at all times, regardless of pressures
- Staying abreast of external developments in global regulation and competitor activity. Proactive identification of issues and initiation of structured discussions with the key stakeholders across the Regional COO community
- Sensitivity and trust - engendering a true sense of urgency, pace, community and collaboration across indirectly managed areas across the US business
- Operate at an executive level, working across global business and regions and maintaining a global perspective on business transformation
