Qualifications for Occupational Therapist - Occupational Therapist Home Health:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- CPR Certification
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with proof of insurance required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Complete discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers.
- Document patient care services via charting in a timely manner.
- Promote maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to the individual's physical capacity and interest
- Evaluate results of occupational therapy by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress; recommend and implement adjustments and modifications
- Implement physician-ordered occupational therapies for self-care activities
- Help the patient develop or regain physical or mental function, or adjust to their disability
