Job Description
ADVANCEDDX BIOLOGICAL LABORATORIES USA INC is looking for a Field Application Specialist in the USA (East coast or remote) to:
- Provide 1st and 2nd level application support for our molecular and gene testing product portfolio (PCR, Sanger sequencing, NGS…) and for device installation
- Support our customers located in the USA in all application-related tasks, including installation, demonstration, on-site validation, training and troubleshooting
- Ensure that product updates, complaint handling and post marketing surveillance are dealt with efficiently and effectively
- Develop and conduct product and application training
- Contribute to customer relationship management, understanding customer needs, setting appropriate product and performance expectations, and gathering market intelligence regarding competitive information and new sales opportunities
- Feedback information to Product Marketing, Scientific, Technical, R&D, QM and other teams across the organisation as appropriate to help in the accurate marketing / further development of our products
- Take responsibility for the application-related collaborations
- Support organisation and take part in user group meetings, workshops, and exhibitions
Qualifications
Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics or Medicine or vocational training with specialisation in aforementioned subjects
- A minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in the areas of Sequencing, ideally in a clinical laboratory setting or as a trainer or field application specialist would be ideal
- Understanding of data analysis, software applications and/or bioinformatics tools and programs
- Ability to translate complex clinical, medical, and diagnostic issues into comprehensive language and illustrations
- Effective communication and teaching skills, especially in the context of online training
- Clear vision of and commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Pragmatic, problem-solving and deadline-oriented approach
- Collaborative, analytical, structured and thorough work style
- Willingness to travel (up to 80%)
- Excellent English language skills; knowledge of French is a plus
