Job Purpose:
The person in this position will be an instrumental addition to our already excelling team! You will be ensuring our customers receive excellent service, while assisting the warehouse in completing their shipments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive bill of ladings and upload into our system
- Require bill of lading matches our system and check for discrepancies
- Ensure the drivers have correct forms
- Add additional items into our system that is not currently listed
- Process customer pickup and delivery orders
- Schedule and coordinate customer's pickup and delivery request
- Provide pickup and delivery milestones to customers
- Assist with handling process of shipments
- Re-icing, Re-packing, and replacing gel packs
- Create files for each shipment and enter shipment data into shipping and receiving system
- Cut AWBs and put together airline documents
- Communicate with customers and transportation companies
- Provide quotes to new or pre-existing customers and generate reports for current customers
- Resolve or provide guidance on handling issues for customers
- Provide detailed handling instructions per shipment to the warehouse
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft office suites, including Microsoft Outlook
- Experience with cold chain, have knowledge on temperature sensitive shipments
- Have knowledge of time sensitive cargo and with handling a variety of temperature monitors
Education and Experience:
- One year in a warehouse environment
Physical Requirements:
- Sit/stand for prolonged amounts of time
