About the Role

The Production Scheduler develops and manages the short-term production order schedule to ensure the manufacturing plan and customer needs are met while supporting efficient use of manufacturing resources.

Essential Function / Duties

  • Production and Process Development
    • Participate in the planning and scheduling day-to-day operations, including but not limited to: scheduling production orders for the week/month, cutting MOs (manufacturing orders), teams card creation, printing of routers, and population of item cards.
    • Work closely with the Operations and Commercial teams to seamlessly transition customer orders to manufacturing.
    • Communicate and help manage potential delays to maintain manufacturing performance to schedule.
    • Establish a strong working knowledge of the scheduling process and assist in the development of procedures and processes for the scheduling system as able.
    • Assist with the receiving and data entry tasks to transfer materials into inventory.
    • Lead the culture of 5S by creating an orderly work area.
    • Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques to support a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Vigilance in observation of and analysis of potentially hazardous conditions in the areas of production.
  • Employee Relations

    • Be flexible and adaptable to changes in workload and work collaboratively with others.
  • Other duties
    • Any other appropriate duties as identified by supervisor.

Work Schedule / Supervision

Position: Full-time; 40 hours per week, can be more. Position is temporary, starting May 1 and lasting 3-4 months.

Position Status: Hourly Status; Overtime may be necessary.


Recommended Education / Experience

Education: High School or equivalent required; Progress toward a Bachelor’s in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred, with an interest in pursuing a career in Medical Device Manufacturing strongly preferred..

Experience: Experience in scheduling/planning in manufacturing or logistics environment and processes is preferred; proficiency with MS Office applications required; must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
