What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Technician position at ABM?
JOB SUMMARY
The Control Systems Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of process control systems. Under the guidance of the instrumentation and controls group the technician shall complete assigned tasks, attends required safety training and follows all safety standards. The technician works as part of the instrument and controls team at a semiconductor manufacturer.

401(k) - You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains, troubleshoots, and navigates Process Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation systems.
- Maintains and troubleshoots chemical analysis systems, hazardous chemical distribution, and detection systems.
- Maintains and troubleshoots fluoride, chlorine, and PH analytical equipment.
- Maintains and troubleshoots RF radio communication equipment.
- Demonstrates technical aptitude with low voltage circuits.
- Assists Senior Control Systems Technicians with data and inventory of field equipment.
- Assists and supports Senior Control Systems Technicians with internal and external projects, installation of PLC's, analyzers, flow meters, RF radios, and other process equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
Work order and maintenance management systems experience.
JOB DIMENSIONS
- Skill in using desktop business applications, including Excel, Word, and Access.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and an individual self-directed environment, including coordination with end users, internal and external customers, consultants and vendors.
- Ab Ability to proficiently utilize laptop computers, multi-meters, and other calibration equipment.
