Summary/Objective

The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring orderly and efficient operations of the facility.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure the efficient and orderly operation of the residential therapeutic community facility within a budget
  • Ensure adequately trained Direct Care staff are on duty at all times. Maintain a PRN list of employees
  • Set shift schedules to ensure appropriate staff to client ratios are met. Oversee time schedules to eliminate or minimize overtime
  • Set transportation schedules for client pick-ups and deliveries; ensure operations staff performs pick-ups
  • Monitor safety of employees and clients
  • Monitor egress and ingress of clients and investigate all suspicious activities
  • Monitor distribution of linen and client supplies, as needed
  • Provide oversight for therapeutic community structure
  • Complete employee evaluations and monitors job performance
  • Maintain and monitor all facility keys
  • Enhance staff morale and conduct self in a professional manner
  • Assist in other tasks, as assigned

Qualifications


Education & Training

  • High school diploma or GED, required; Bachelors degree, preferred
  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Valid Texas Drivers’ license and a good driving record

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of criminal justice system and therapeutic community process
  • Excellent people skills and communication techniques
  • Organizational skills
  • Emotional stability and maturity with the ability to work effectively under stress
  • Work independently and make important decisions
  • Must perform duties consistent with confidentiality guidelines
  • Customer service orientation
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Clear criminal history
