Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer works to ensure quality standards of the company support service of the products sold. The position is responsible for formulating processes for improved efficiency and quality levels and ensure quality satisfaction from customers.

Responsibilities

  • Support internal audits and the Quality Management Review by preparing key metrics and trend data.
  • Provide customers with RMA approval of suspect products and work with internal technical team and factory supplier team to complete 8D (root cause corrective action) reports to customer.
  • Support other departments in process improvement flows and development of their operating procedures.
  • Project Manager of key quality initiatives and systems development, to assure scope is properly developed and executed to completion. 
  • Partner with 70 supplier factories to maintain high quality performance.   
  • Co-manage Supplier Quality Manual and analyze compliance to Abracon’ s high standards.
  • Perform virtual remote factory quality audits. 
  • Analyzes risks and opportunities then adjusts plans to minimize risks to the customer when dealing with potential exposure to faulty product.
  • Negotiates improvement schedules and resolutions with suppliers.
  • Regularly interacts with and influences company personnel, contractors, and customers on corrective actions.
  • Respond to customer surveys and audits.
  • Support new company acquisition activities and integrate into the Abracon systems.

 

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience is preferred but not required. 
  • Strong understanding in process development, Six Sigma Green Belt or Blackbelt preferred. 
  • Strong Problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to make charts and graphs to convey trends and drive improvement.
  • Project Management basic skills
  • Team player: participation, collaboration, and interaction with team members to achieve department and company goals.

 

Education

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering. New graduates will be considered.
