Description

AbeTech is hiring a Procurement Specialist is responsible for The AbeTech/Sigma Branded products and strategic projects for the Schertz Office. This may include interpreting and analyzing demand and usage requirements for various materials to support our branded products. Candidates will procure raw materials, components, equipment and supplies. The role will collaborate with both internal and external organizations to ensure supply continuity and optimum combination of delivery, quality and value. Candidates will work across several business units within the organization and provide support for the inventory control process. This role is part of AbeTech's product offerings group. 


Duties and activities:

  • Buyer and planner for AbeTech/Sigma branded products and ordering process
  • Manage  inventory levels for blanket and stock orders
  • Manage vendors and Suppliers for the AbeTech/Sigma branded products including new vendor setup and researching alternate vendors
  • Provide support for the inventory control process: Receipt of inventory, job allocation, prep for shipping
  • Perform inventory cycle counts

Requirements

Job Skills:

  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage several projects and duties at one time
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self Starter
  • Desire to have a continuous learning an improvement mentality
  • 3-5 years experience as a buyer planner or industry experience 
  • Proficient in the Microsoft office suite
  • Great Plains experience considered a plus
  • Post-secondary education considered a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
