General Practice Medical Coordinator
Reports to: Hospital Administrator, Owners
Overall Responsibilities: In conjunction with the Hospital Administrators and the Director of General Practice, assist in overseeing internal training and staff development for the technicians, assistants, and doctors within the hospital.

Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the General Practice Medical Coordinator include, but are not limited to the following:

Assist and coordinate with employment reviews and coaching of technical staff and doctors within the general practice department.

Attend meetings as requested to provide updates and training needs.

Facilitate 36 patient facing hours on the general practice and surgical services.

Provide feedback/input to the Medical Director and Hospital Administrators regarding training milestones and progress made by the technical staff and doctors within the general practice department.

Direct periodic CE lectures/labs.

Serve as the eyes and ears on the floor to help develop training objectives related to the general practice department.

Assist the Medical Director and Hospital Administrators in conflict identification and resolution within the general practice department. In doing so, foster communication and collaboration among the general practice department.

Assist in the creation and enforcement of protocols within the general practice department.

Facilitate general practice doctor scheduling and coverage of general practice shifts

Coordinate on call shifts

Assist with improved efficiency throughout the department

Educational Requirements: DVM or equivalent
Experience:
