Job Overview

 

In this role, you will be senior member of the leadership team overseeing all aspects of the accounting department, including financial reporting, payroll, budgeting, and compliance. You will also be responsible for managing a team of accounting professionals and ensuring that all accounting activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a similar role and possess excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and review general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process- Provide guidance and support to the finance team on accounting principles and best practices
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Monitor accounts receivable and collections activities, ensuring timely payments from customers
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements

 

Skills To Be Successful In This Role

 

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Proficiency in using accounting software such as Vista, Prophix, Procore, or similar platforms
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction Industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA designation strongly preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Solid understanding of balance sheet reconciliation, accounts receivable management, regulatory reporting, debits/credits, and other key accounting concepts

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $196,000 with the average starting salary in the 40th percentile range; commensurate with experience and training. This ensures we get you properly seated within our organization so that all parties feel good about our future together.
