The Senior Program/Operations Manager will support Program Executive Office, Unmanned Aviation & Strike Weapons (PEO(U&W)), acting as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the contracted effort, ensuring the successful execution of program requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Defense acquisition management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage large and diverse teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Senior Program/Operations Manager will be responsible for:
- Acting as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities on technical and program/project issues.
- Overseeing contractor execution of the contract requirements, ensuring all objectives are met.
- Managing the acquisition and employment of program/project resources, including both personnel and materials.
- Providing guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, major system acquisitions, and financial management.
- Coordinating with various directors and managers for the planning, execution, and management of Air-to-Air programs and efforts.
- Ensuring compliance with acquisition policies and procedures, including the DoD 5000 series.
- Supporting the development and implementation of administrative policy and procedures.
- Monitoring and providing status updates on program/project execution.
- Performing additional duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree with at least 10 years of experience in Defense acquisition manager, with at least 3 years of experience in Navy Acquisition management within the past 6 years.
- ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTIONS:
- A Bachelor's degree plus an additional 2 years of relevant work experience (minimum 12 years total) performing the essential functions may be substituted for a Master's Degree.
- An Associates degree plus an additional 4 years of relevant work experience (minimum 14 years total) performing the essential functions may be substituted for a Master's degree.
- An additional 6 years of relevant work experience (minimum 16 years total) performing the essential functions may be substituted for a Master's degree.
- ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTIONS:
- A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures and the DoD 5000 series.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with large and diverse teams.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- DAWIA Certification (or equivalent) in Program Management, PMP certification, or other certifications related to Program Management.
- Experience with weapons systems, hardware and software, configuration control, systems supportability, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs and provide effective guidance and direction.
- Familiarity with financial management and major system acquisitions.
