Job Overview:

Absolute Industrial is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team. As a Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials and supplies. Your role will be crucial in maintaining inventory levels, negotiating contracts, and optimizing supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to meet business objectives

- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish favorable terms and conditions

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements

- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials

- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information

- Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns

- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory control, and logistics processes

- Familiarity with contract negotiation and supplier management

- Proficient in using purchasing software systems

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities

- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Location: Emmett, ID

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
