Primary responsibilities:
The Senior Scientist Pharmacokinetics will serve as Study Director for PK/BA studies. This person will work in a team-based environment to lead the coordination, execution, reporting, and timely completion of PK/BA studies. The position operates within a fast-paced cross-functional environment, so good communication, flexibility, organization, and attention to detail are required.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as Study Director for pre-clinical studies
- Designing and executing in vivo animal studies including animal handling, dosing via numerous routes, blood and tissue sampling, and data collection.
- Reviewing and summarizing bioanalytical data; PK interpretation and reporting; understanding and integrating PK/PD information
- Conduct PK analysis using Winnolin software as needed
- Assist in training of Research Associates on in-life procedures
- Serve as a liaison with the project management, in-life group, and bioanalytical teams to assure that studies are completed according to timelines
- Serve as a liaison with clients for PK studies (in-life and bioanalytical)
- Maintain and implement efficient processes and procedures to provide high-quality standard of study design and timely reporting
- Assist in the review and development of PK-related SOPs
- Maintain accurate records in various internal databases.
- Support internal research projects to optimize service offerings.
- Perform other duties as directed by Management.
Candidate Requirements:
- Working knowledge of WinNonlin and Microsoft Office software platforms.
- MS or Ph.D. in pharmacokinetics, chemistry, analytical chemistry, or pharmaceutical science.
- Minimum 5-7 years (MS) or 3-5 years (Ph.D.) relevant industry PK experience focused on in-life and/or LC-MS/MS and other analytical techniques in a pharmaceutical field.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to work as a team player, as well as to think critically and work independently.
