The Community Liaison Specialist will plan, develop, implement, and analyze community relations campaigns, marketing efforts, and other public relations events to increase awareness of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking through strategic use of graphics, logos, and other branding promotions and products.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Will develop and support strategic initiative to create and maintain a positive public image for ACT.

2. Develops, writes, reviews and / or distributes press releases and other public-facing communication.

3. Assists in organizing community outreach programs and coordinates special events that will influence public opinion or promote products, services, or ideas of the company.

4. Responds to information requests from all contacts.

5. Establishes and maintains positive relationships with media outlets, the community and public interest groups.

6. Obtains volunteers and needed items for the organization.

7. Assists in the planning and implementation of fundraising activities and events.

8. Develops, executes, and posts positive publicity material to the ACT social media accounts.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Creative Cloud, Canva, or other related software.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and execute special events for the organization.

EDUCATION - TRAINING - EXPERIENCE :

B.A. Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field or two years’ related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
