What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Aircraft Records Specialist position at ABX Air?
The Lead Aircraft Records Specialist will provide direction and work directly with the records technicians to perform data entry and audits of maintenance paperwork versus the data in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Perform detailed daily audit and validation of flight logs. Ensures the times recorded on the flight logs are accurate, (dates, flight hours, cycles etc.). When errors are identified the Lead technician will work to rectify the error and provide training to the technicians to prevent future errors. Verifies/Audit for completeness of the maintenance record packages. Works directly with supervision/management to maintain departmental requirements. Works with other departments to address concerns and streamline processes. Ensures the security and accountability of paperwork is maintained at all times.
What you need:
- Must have worked in the ABX records department for a minimum of 1 year.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years office experience (1 of which have been directly associated with aircraft records)
- Demonstrate the ability to work in an operational environment
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy
- Must have good problem solving, analytical and communication skills
- Must be proficient with Web-based programs
- Experience with Microsoft office products
Preferred Skills:
- Associate's Degree in Aircraft Technology or similar in technical field.
- Experience with Aircraft paperwork such as work orders or log pages
- Experience with 121 or 135 airline
- Prior audit or Quality department experience
- Aircraft maintenance or operational support experience
- Working knowledge of ATA Spec. 100
- Prior supervisor experience
