Small Academic Preschool Seeking Amazing, Highly Qualified Teacher!
We hire Highly Qualified teachers for this awesome program! We would prefer a Licensed (current or expired) teacher with a graduate degree. However, we are open to hearing from those with different experience/licenses and degrees, too. This position has been perfect in the past for teachers who are parents of their own preschool-age children, retired teachers, and those looking to work part-time while older students are in school. This could also be a great fit for a brand new teacher or a teacher wanting to transition out of full-time work.
About us:
We offer a private, academic preschool with Christian influences. We are located in North Medford. Our goal is to provide our students with complete Kindergarten readiness at a developmentally appropriate level. We use the Fruits of the Spirit for our character trait instruction, and teach and celebrate Christian holidays as well as Creation. We pride ourselves on meeting the emotional, mental, physical and educational needs of our students.
Our students are fully potty trained and independent in the restroom. We are not a daycare.
Our students are taught Math and Language Arts lessons each day. Are lessons are rich in hands-on learning, small and large motor experiences, and address social and emotional skills. Our curriculum includes lots of Science, Literature, Crafts, Music and Community Building. Our students have many opportunities for free choice, open play, outdoor play and sensory activities, too.
Our Class is in session M-Th and during the morning hours only.
Our daily class limit is 10 students.
The position is for approximately 16 - 18 hours a week, following a typical school year Sept-May.
