Job Description: Education: Associate’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required Work Experiences: 5 years of related work experience required Skills: Lead with integrity and able to propel a team toward the completion of goals Ability to analyze, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts to make effective business decisions Maintain the customer’s perspective as a driving force behind business decisions and activities Responds positively to change, embracing and using new practices or values to accomplish goals and solve problems Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internally and externally Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast paced, frequently changing environment while remaining detailed and organized Able to utilize organizational and project management skills to direct work activities within critical path timelines Ability to establish strong relationships to influence perceptions and manage change Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, Gerber, PLM and Adobe Illustrator Ability to develop 3-5 year assortment development strategy, communicate, and execute in partnership with internal and external stakeholders Responsibilities: Partner with suppliers to develop private label products to drive sales, increase margins, and expand market share Partner with Buying team to understand the Buyer’s product needs, set action plans with necessary deadlines, and execute delivery Partner with global sourcing counterpart(s) to inform and support category sourcing strategies Prepare and maintain detailed product packages within PLM Work with Quality Assurance, Vendor Compliance, Import Logistics, and Global Sourcing teams to deliver quality products on time while ensuring all vendors are compliant Shop competitors to ensure there is price competitiveness and identify assortment gaps Manage and maintain existing and new programs by following through on all product development phases Develop and maintains product packages Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain category/product performance and product safety standards Coordinate labels and packages with Brand Management, suppliers, and vendors; Coordinate appropriate quality testing with Quality Assurance team (Apparel) Secure samples and maintain a sample library with categories, including but not limited to; fit with Tech Design, pre-production, counter, and advertising Prepare HTS pre-classification within Flex PLM Develop technical knowledge of related product categories, including but not limited to; construction, fabrications, industry standards, and fit where applicable Attend domestic shows to stay abreast of product trends and packaging designs Attend vendor meetings as needed Required to learn company policies, procedures and safety rules Routinely review Private Brand customer reviews on Academy.com. Address poor product performance reviews as warranted.
