Responsibilities
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Director of Business Office Operations directs the division’s Central Billing Offices (CBOs) and provides ongoing revenue cycle direction and support to Group Management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensures the Group’s CBOs are adequately resourced and effectively managed.
Provides CBO Directors and Group CFO with clear feedback and recommendations for improvement. Continues to follow up with the CBO to ensure corrective actions are completed.
Monitors and evaluates the Group’s Revenue Cycle Key Indicator goals including Cash Collections, AR Days, Bad Debt and Denials. Ensures that CBO productivity is managed and measured for improvement opportunities.
Monitors and manages the CBO billing and collections functions. Identifies issues which impact the revenue cycle and proposes/implements solutions on a timely basis.
Ensure that benefits/eligibility processes are functioning at the CBOs.
Participates in recruitment of CBO Business Office Directors and provides training to new BOD’s Provides assistance with training facility business office staff.
Works directly with payers towards resolution of billing/ collections issues.
Participates in development and implementation of CBO and clinic business office policies and procedures and assists with ensuring compliance.
Partners with IT on conversions, standardization and other system issues.
Ensures new clinics are transitioned to Acadia/CTC policies and processes and that Business Office staff are assigned to and engaged in the implementation of billing and collections set up.
Works with the Division Director of Contracting/Licensing and assists as requested with managed care contracts.
Assists with evaluation of any external vendors (Early out, collection agency, electronic billing, physician billing, coding, Credit Reporting, etc).
Maintains knowledge of industry changes and trends.
Provide Leadership, support and foster a team environment.
Ability to motivate staff in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Performs other duties as assigned.
