Opportunity at a Glance
ACAMS is seeking a dynamic and results-driven sales leader to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for selling sponsorships and exhibit spaces for our global events. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating successful partnerships. You will play a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying potential sponsors and exhibitors, understanding their needs, and developing tailored proposals that showcase the value of participating in our events. This position will report to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and requires a strategic thinker with the ability to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional customer service
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategies to secure global sponsorship deals across various industries and markets.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential markets, clients, and partnerships.
• Collaborate with marketing, events, and other relevant teams to create compelling sponsorship packages and opportunities.
• Negotiate sponsorship agreements, contracts, and terms that align with company objectives and sponsor expectations.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, potential sponsors, and competitive positioning.
• Develop and maintain a CRM of prospects, leads, and client interactions.
• Track and report on sponsorship sales metrics, including pipeline development, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the sponsorship sales team to enhance performance and productivity.
• Represent the company at industry events to promote sponsorship opportunities and generate leads.
• Provide regular updates and reports to CRO on sales performance, market dynamics, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and execute global advertising sales strategies to meet revenue targets and increase market share
• Establish sales targets, performance metrics, and reporting mechanisms to monitor progress and drive accountability.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all advertising sales activities.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Below are the minimum requirements of the education, experience, knowledge, and skills required to competently perform in this position.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
• Minimum 7 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in global sponsorship sales, preferably with experience across the US, EMEA and APAC
• Experience in financial services related events a strong plus
• Skilled relationship builder and negotiator
• Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to market, sell, and communicate programs to a wide audience
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively manage others in a remote and team-based environment
• Expertise leading teams to pursue B2B sales
• Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills along with strong presentation and sales skills.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas in enterprise environment
• Goal oriented and self-motivated
• Experience developing sales plans and analyzing metrics
• Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers and influencers
• Understands and gains access to customer’s short- and long-range planning objectives
• Self-starting, self-motivating, highly organized individual with a strong work ethic.
• General PC and Microsoft Office skills required.
