Manufacturing Technician

Acara Solutions is looking for a Manufacturing Technician II for one of our clients in Tucson, AZ

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for setting up and operating machinery in support of the production process
• Performs operations per specifications on drawing/print and documented procedures
• Always maintains a clean and safe work area
• Ability to use basic hand tools (i.e., utility knife) and machines (i.e., sandblaster, speed lathe)
• Ability to read blueprints/engineering drawings
• Good understanding of quality control principles
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Complete daily production logs as required
• Complete required equipment maintenance checks
• Responsible for complying with internal quality systems and procedures.
• Works closely with all manufacturing and engineering personnel
• Provides continuous improvement ideas verbally and in writing
• Performs any other duties of equal or lower classification on a temporary basis as directed.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• High School education or GED required
• Minimum 2 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read and write English
• Must follow detailed instructions, do accurate work at a rapid pace, and meet scheduling deadlines
• Manual dexterity and the ability to carry out complex, repetitive tasks quickly and methodically
• Available to work overtime as required
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, and handle objects. The employee is occasionally required to push/pull and reach above shoulder level. The employee must be able to carry/lift to 40 pounds and be able to rotate item being handled.
• Work on feet for entire shift
• Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• The ability to do accurate work at a rapid pace and to follow detailed instructions.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.
• Must be able to quickly comprehend industry-related technical terms.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)
