Position Summary:
The Nurse Education Manager, in collaboration with the VP of Nursing, is responsible for identifying areas of nurse education deficiencies, developing and delivering evidence-based best practice nursing training and educational content that is aligned with the Accanto Health clinical philosophy and organizational culture. Provides ongoing instructional support related to clinical practice to nursing leaders and individuals as needed (including RNs, LPNs, CNAs II, and CMAs).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assessment of Nurse Educational Needs
Collaborates with clinical leaders to identify and address training needs to ensure treatment provided is consistent with the Accanto Health clinical philosophy
Identifies required competencies for nursing staff and ensures staff have effective opportunities to acquire needed skills and maintain them in an ongoing basis
Analyzes documentation and EHR gaps/needs related to nursing scope of practice
Analyzes and recommends learning solutions that achieve desired outcomes while supporting a geographically dispersed workforce
Development and Delivery
Works with Nursing Leadership, Compliance, Learning and Development, and Site Leadership to develop and implement centralized and site-based training plan for nursing staff and trainees
Designs, develops, and maintains training materials (all types of media) that would support strong performance outcomes and compliance with departmental and organizational policies, protocols, processes, and procedures
Works collaboratively with leaders and SMEs to create, build, and revise training content
Integrates leader and SME feedback and seeks clarification where needed
Participates in the development and implementation of site-based infection control policies
Facilitates training using effective methods to engage participants and enhance learning
Partners with leaders and SMEs on delivering training, including co-facilitating or sole facilitating, depending on topic
Providing Support
Supports staff training at new site openings
Provides consultation to nursing leadership, nursing teams, and nursing staff members to assist with Clinical Philosophy implementation and adherence
Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse Licensure without any disciplinary actions or pending disciplinary actions
Nursing education/training experience
Within three months of hire, obtain and maintain RN licensure in all applicable states in which Accanto operates
Minimum of 10 years' clinical experience preferred (some inpatient or residential medical experience required; Eating Disorders or mental health experience preferred).
