Position Overview:
The Culinary Assistant is critical to ensure that all sanitation requirements for our kitchen are met and a safe and professional culinary experience is had by our patients, families and staff.
Schedule
40 hours/week - Full Time - Friday through Tuesday 12-830pm (Off Wednesday's and Thursday's)

How Culinary Empower Recovery!
- Assists the Chef or Sous Chef with food preparation activities such as chopping, peeling, washing as directed.
- Assists other kitchen staff with proper food and supply dating, labeling and stocking, as requested.
- Ensures that all surfaces in the kitchen environment, to include the kitchen, dining and catering areas and all associated equipment, are clean and sanitized.
- Washes dishes and maintains overall area cleanliness to meet ServSafe and state Food Code requirements.
- Maintain appropriate, therapeutic boundaries with patients and families at all time including adherence to HIPPA compliance.
Qualifications
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Culinary Assistant Certification but not necessary
- Safe Food Handling upon or within 90 days of hire
- Previous kitchen and dishwashing experience.
