About the Position
We are seeking a Facilities Coordinator for our corporate office in Independence Ohio. This individual will support a variety of facilities and operational activities.
The Facilities Coordinator reports to the Sr Director of Procurement & Facilities and works collaboratively with all members of the Operations team to support our schools.
As a Facilities Coordinator, you will support the following areas:
General Functions:
- Manage the daily maintenance and repair activities for the school properties.
- Prioritize tasks to respond appropriate urgency as issues arise.
- Coordinate resources to maintain school facilities in clean and safe conditions.
- Visit schools for evaluation of contractor performance and to support school staffs.
- Develop effective supplier relationships.
- Coordinate sourcing and bidding for annual contracts and service agreements.
- Assist in operations related activities in support schools and other properties.
- Management of various facilities related projects as needed.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, management, and suppliers.
Administrative functions:
- Adding and updating information in the maintenance management system.
- Coordinating documentation related to facilities maintenance activities and assets.
- Creating and managing facilities schedules and records.
- Request purchase orders for facilities related services and supplies.
- Assist in facilities services bid development and vendor selection.
- Administration of facilities related contracts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About You:
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience operating and learning computer-based systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
- Professional, punctual and self-motivated.
- Experience with basic project management processes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Prior maintenance management experience.
- Experience using a facilities management system (CMMS).
- Experience working in an education setting is a plus.
