What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Aide (2022-2023 School Year) position at ACCEL Schools?
ACCEL Schools is hiring an IMMEDIATE opening for an Instructional Aide for the 2022-2023 School Year at our Westlake Academy located in Westlake, Ohio that will assist and support the teacher with daily classroom activities. Founded in 2014, ACCEL Schools is a K-12 public charter school management organization (CMO) across the United States. We manage a network of over 50 charter schools within Ohio and surrounding states.
Responsibilities:
- Supports lessons taught by the teacher for individual students or groups of students
- Follows instructional plans as assigned by the teacher
- Helps plan classroom activities as directed by the teacher
- Contributes to a positive climate and culture by exhibiting high professional standards
- Assists the Teacher in the use of classroom technology
- Flexibility to assist with field trips, morning duty, dismissal duty, and lunch duty as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
- Current and active Instructional Aide licensure, or able to obtain license
- Successful completion of BCI/FBI check
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines
- Able to manage confidential information
- High quality written and verbal communication skills
- Previous work experience working with youth or in a school setting desired
