The Finance team at Accel Schools (a subsidiary of Pansophic Learning) is currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst to add to the team to be an expert in data acquisition, statistical analysis, data review and can pull together and interpret varied data and sources to create a seamless story to inform decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a clear advocate of using technology to create reporting and to automate our forecasting system as well as support all aspects of planning, analysis and reporting. SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Integrated Planning (lead financial, business, and strategic planning)
- Drive financial health of organization (business analysis, KPI’s, and portfolio optimization)
- Internal stakeholder decision support (school management, operations, shared services)
- Leverage and actively promote the use of technology and automation to gain operational efficiencies
- Leads report creation of financial data across the company
- Publish monthly reporting package (internal)
- Structure large data sets to find usable information
- Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
- Liaison to Shared Service Accounting (invoicing/collections/general ledger inquiries)
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or equivalent
- 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Advanced Excel skills required; proficiency with SQL, Tableau, Adaptive, BI360, Office Connect strongly preferred, experience with Great Plains or similar accounting software
- Experience leading and executing strategic, cross-functional initiatives with an organized approach that allows you to juggle multiple concurrent initiatives simultaneously
- Advanced quantitative reasoning and critical thinking skills, with a firm foundation in economics, finance and statistical analysis
- Strong leadership presence, refined communication and presentation skills, and the ability to collaborate successfully with executives and employees at all levels of the organization
- The ability to influence up, down, and across the organization, explaining problems and proposing solutions in an easy-to-understand way
- The ability to progress through a steep learning curve quickly and the perseverance to chip away at problems a piece at a time until you reach a breakthrough
