Flooring Project Manager
PROJECT MANAGER JOB DUTIES
As a project manager, the role is a malleable position. It may change from day to day. Understanding how to manage your time and communicate with a high level of purpose. Provide pro-active feedback to installers to allow them to execute more efficiently as well as keep the office and sales team updated on any job status changes or follow up needed.
Job duties
· PM Checks –
o Review material sold and verified that all materials requested were sold and on jobsite.
o Review Estimate to verify that what was sold matches what customer wants done.
· Team Management – Know and build relationships with current installers and sub-contractors to drive better execution of projects in a timely manner.
· Recruiting Sub-contractors – Understanding the needs of the current and future business by working with office staff and sales team to better understand the needs of contract labor to accomplish work on current and upcoming projects.
· Issue Resolution – Work with sub-contractors and/or office team to recognize and resolve issues on projects under the Accel Unlimited umbrella. Items may include but are not limited to below.
o Pick-up and delivery of missing or damaged material.
o Assess product issues on active jobsites. (manufacturer defects, installation errors etc.)
· Building Relationships with Retail partners – Work with stores to understand the team that we work with and build strong relationships to facilitate assistance when needed on outstanding issues or to better understand how to grow our business.
· Create and manage Punch Work – Items included but not limited to
o Evaluate Service Issues – Create action plan on correcting and solving issues.
o Schedule needed partners to complete action plan.
o May need to solve for some punch list items as needed for work within their knowledge and/or scope of ability.
· Create Change Orders-Manage and create work orders as needed on active jobs.
· Manage Customer Relationship after the sale – Introduce yourself as PM precheck. Explain your role in the project and what the customer needs to do if they have concerns. (You are the contact point after the sale and through completion of the work)
· Own the position. The job becomes yours and managing execution falls directly on you. Drive the subs to complete in a timely manner with a high level of quality and courtesy.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28,000.00 - $31,000.00 per year
