ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Program Manager will be the linchpin of key corporate marketing programs and strategic cross-company initiatives led by Marketing. This person will identify areas where the Marketing team can operate more efficiently and create programs to help the Marketing team – and Accela -- scale. This role will help us capture the unique marketing opportunity that is ahead of us, and requires understanding of the marketing context, systems and general logistics required to manage and track all such programs end to end. This role is pivotal to the success of the organization, is collaborative in nature, and will continue to flex and grow as the organization matures. As a Senior Marketing Program Manager, you will be tasked with building out governance and process across the marketing team to break down barriers and drastically improve marketing output. You’re an expert at stakeholder management across all levels, documentation, and creating agile, efficient and scalable systems. Scaling our team and our programs requires tight coordination across multiple teams.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Own and drive complex cross-team programs, projects, and initiatives affecting goals and objectives within and outside of the marketing organization
Work with Marketing leadership to define and execute processes to drive quarterly and annual budgeting and plan development processes.
Identify, initiate, and implement process and project management improvements; develop processes and tools to organize execution and track progress; identify gaps and propose changes to existing systems and process frameworks.
Work with stakeholders to keep priorities clear and enable the Marketing team to focus on projects that drive the most business value.
Identify potential issues and proactively resolve them before they affect deliverable timelines.
Enable marketing leadership to have visibility into campaign program plans and milestones
Orchestrate weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence of leadership and all-hands meetings, including retrospectives.
Manage vendor onboarding.
As needed, own and drive the execution of critical marketing initiatives and programs, both within the Marketing team and also strategic cross-company initiatives.
Be the central point of contact and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in marketing business planning, campaign cycle planning, creative development, launch management, and other shared services for strategic projects
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Extensive (8 years) experience in Program and/or Project Management, with preference for individuals who have been Marketing Program Managers in fast-paced, scaling organizations.
Strong program management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
A true partner capable of driving the right outcomes, offering creative solutions to business challenges, and always thinking ahead.
Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail a high sense of urgency, initiative, and proactivity.
Desire to come into an organization and help drive and shape the operations of an evolving and high-performing marketing team, as the company enters its next phase of growth.
The ability to lead change and influence behaviors through strong qualitative and quantitative data analysis and storytelling.
Self-starter with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement, get consensus and buy-in on the opportunity and solution, and create programs to drive change.
Proficiency with Microsoft suite, Salesforce, and project management tools. Marketo a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders, including senior audiences.
Experience working between in-house marketing teams, agency partners, and technical teams.
Proven ability to build trusting relationships across the organization and leading through influence
Program or Project Management Certificate, PMP Certification, or Agile Certification a plus
