Core Responsibilities:  

  • 3 years experience with creating on-screen environments for websites, mobile devices, and other digital products that are user-friendly, engaging, accessible, and easy to navigate

  • Work with other designers and cross-functional team members to make informed design decisions through qualitative and quantitative data

  • Work within brand guidelines to create layouts that reinforce a brand's voice through its visual touchpoints

  • Apply a good understanding of design principles such as color theory, typography, layout, and composition and use these elements to create effective designs that convey the desired message

  • Create prototypes to test and define designs. Support usability testing and other forms of feedback to identify areas for improvement

  • Maintain an existing design system, create, and update documentation, and library components; or design and implement a new design system to include typography, color, iconography, and componentry and the tools, resources, and documentation to support the system

    • Extend the design system component library by designing new components and promoting best practices

    • Define design patterns and document them for reusability

    • Evaluate and improve usability and accessibility of components and be a champion for the user

  • Establish design standards and principles accompanying the design system for scalability, efficiency, and consistency

  • Improve the design to development handoff process

  • Conduct end-to-end UI audits of visuals and design systems, create design solutions to solve for discrepancies

Additional Responsibilities:  

  • Provide excellent consultation when meeting, collaborating, and brainstorming with clients and authors to understand and interpret needs

  • Strong conceptual thinker who effectively translates qualitative and quantitative research into visually stimulating and intellectually engaging compositions

  • Incorporate feedback from consultation with clients to redefine an idea and include new ideas as appropriate

  • Ensure timely delivery per assigned delivery date

 

Core Skills Required:

  • 3 years using standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (XD, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Sketch, Figma and InVision plus familiarity with the MS Office suite, including PowerPoint 

  • Experience building design systems and component libraries with clear guidelines and processes to ensure consistency and scalability

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards/patterns and designing for accessibility

  • Strong eye for detail and enhanced desire for consistency

  • Demonstrable understanding of technical, creative and development project lifecycles

Additional Skills Preferred:  

  • Strong design aesthetic to creatively communicate a story, message, idea, process, or methodology 

  • High capacity for design thinking, along with a general understanding of and appreciation for experience design, strategy, and innovation 

  • Understanding of technology platforms that support user experiences 

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate in a clear, consistent, and transparent manner 

  • Passionate and enthusiastic about excellence and attention to detail to ensure quality is delivered in every output

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into creative solutions 

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written, visual and oral) 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; identifying project risks, adapting to changes, asking questions, and conceptualizing solutions 

  • A collaborative, open, and service-oriented attitude; able to interact and build relationships with a variety of personalities across stakeholder groups 

  • The flexibility and adaptability to respond to new and changing requests; pivot quickly and easily as needed 

  • A desire to proactively enhance skills and understanding of new tools and techniques 

  • Time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, keep stakeholders informed, and deliver on promises 

  • A team player mentality, with the desire to support their team to achieve common goals and grow additional skills as needs arise 

 

 

Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.    

Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role  

California: - $77,900 - $147,800

Colorado: - $77,900 - $127,600

New York: - $70,000 - $147,800

Washington: - $82,900 - $136,100
