The Work:
- Help your team pinpoint the right data-driven solution to meet the needs of clients in the Life Sciences Industry, and help draw up practical road maps that position clients for long-term success.
- Support Accenture project teams to provide world-class business strategy solutions to clients and help with business development efforts as needed.
- Apply strong analytical skills to dig deep into research and large data sets to generate recommendations and insights and drive outcomes.
- Use data models and visualization to bring your analysis to life.
- Build relationships with clients to sustain Accenture’s profile as a long-term trusted advisor and partner.
- Mentor junior members of the Strategy team.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain executive to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategic supply chain initiatives for our life sciences clients. You will leverage your deep industry knowledge and end-to-end supply chain expertise to advise clients on optimizing their operations from manufacturing to distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of strategic supply chain transformation initiatives for life sciences clients.
- Conduct comprehensive supply chain assessments, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Analyze the impact of upstream and downstream decisions on overall supply chain performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Stay current on life sciences industry trends and best practices in supply chain management.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain teams.
- Communicate complex supply chain concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Lead and manage the strategy development and execution of manufacturing and network optimization initiatives for life sciences clients.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of client manufacturing operations and supply chain networks, identifying opportunities for improvement across facility location, capacity planning, production processes, and inventory management.
- Develop and present data-driven recommendations for network design optimization, considering factors such as transportation costs, lead times, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Leverage your expertise in value chain analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction, improved product flow, and enhanced patient access to life-saving treatments.
- Deeply understand best practices in life sciences supply chain management and leverage them to create customized solutions.
- Stay current on emerging technologies that impact life sciences manufacturing and network strategies, recommending their integration to optimize client operations (e.g., automation, digital twins).
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, R&D, logistics, and procurement, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of solutions.
- Manage client relationships, building trust and acting as a trusted advisor on all matters related to manufacturing and network strategy.
- Manage and mentor junior team members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management, with a strong focus on the life sciences industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing strategic supply chain initiatives.
- In-depth understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, from manufacturing to distribution.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience working with top tier management consulting firm.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- You have an MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
- You have experience working with and/or leading teams and clients using your exceptional team building, mentoring, people development and management skills.
- You’ve got demonstrated experience and ability to address strategic components of the Life Sciences Industry strategy including R&D, Commercial, Enabling/Corporate Functions, Supply Chain/Manufacturing across biopharma and med tech.
- You are specialized in one or more of the following:
- R&D (e.g., Research, Clinical Development, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory, Medical Affairs)
- Commercial (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Patient Services, Market Access and Analytics):
- Corporate Functions (e.g., Finance, HR, IT, Procurement)
- Supply Chain/ Manufacturing (e.g., New Product Launch, Cold Chain, Biologics, New Distribution Models, Mergers & Acquisitions etc.)
- IT/Cloud strategy across functions
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below.
