Surgical Technologist

As a Surgical Tech you’ll be responsible for assisting the surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for operations and passing items to doctors and nurses as needed. Assists in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating theater.

Reports to the Clinical Coordinator and/or Surgical Services Director.

Requirements               

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technologists, possess a current ORT certification, and have 2-4 years of experience.
• Current BLS from the AHA or ARC
• Ability to work off shifts and pm shifts, take night and weekend call shifts.
• Able to cover all specialties daily and on-call.

• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks to include, but not limited, to pulling cases, case set-up, clean up, inventory and supply management. 
• Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technologists, possess a current ORT certification, and have 2-4 years of experience.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
