JOB SUMMARY: In support of the Access Mission and Strategic Commitments, the Supervisor - Food Pantry Programs will manage operations of the Food Pantry Program and supervise and oversee Program staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES:
- Manage operations of the Food Pantry Program
- Develop an annual plan and budget, taking into account the program’s goals and objectives and the available resources
- Provide operational oversight of both the Site-Based and Mobile Food Pantries to ensure they operate effectively and efficiently
- Order food and manage inventory for both Site-Based Locations and Mobile Food Pantry, ensuring that an adequate supply of food is maintained for the program
- Collect required data and provide reports, as required by the agency or community partners, to inform and evaluate the performance of the program
- Be an advocate for the Food Pantry in the community, building relationships with community partners and raising awareness about the program
- Supervise and oversee Program Staff
- Recruit and hire staff, ensuring that the program has the right staff with the right skills and experience to meet the program goals
- Ensure program staff are providing high-quality services and support to the program participants
- Supervise and manage staff's performance, ensuring that they are meeting their job responsibilities and providing feedback and support as needed
- Support in day-to-day program operations, troubleshooting issues as they arise and ensuring that the program is operating smoothly and effectively
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree in a related field and one year of experience planning or administering a program.*
- Effectively works independently in a fast-paced environment
- Works well with a diverse group of managers
- Problem solver, solution generator
- Valid Drivers License Understands and utilizes basic budgeting principles and skills
- Good computer skills with working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Heavy Work - Must be able to lift and move objects weighing 55 lbs or more
- May be required to drive an agency vehicle
- Frequently requires continuous standing, walking, sitting, and consistent use of hands and feet.
- The employee will occasionally be required to read and comprehend complex grant documents, program plans, and agency policies and procedures
- This position may require the ability to transport self off-site into environments the agency can not control
- The person in this position often communicates with individuals outside the organization
- Must be able to hear and vocalize effectively to exchange accurate information

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is both in-office and in a warehouse where the temperature can fluctuate. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
