Position Summary - Behavioral Health Consultant (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PsyD) The Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) is part of a multi-disciplinary primary health care team. BHCs are responsible for providing behavioral health consultation and treatment to children, adolescents, and adults in order to improve their psychosocial functioning and overall health outcomes. Overview of Benefits Compensation Package Guaranteed Annual Base Salary $10,000 Relocation Assistance $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Loan repayment potential through the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) NHSC LRP: Up to $75,000 Full Time for 2 years NHSC SUD-W LRP: Up to $75,000 Full Time for 3 years NHSC LRP or SUD-W LRP: $5,000 award enhancement for clinicians who demonstrate Spanish-language proficiency. Comprehensive benefits package 192 Hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year & Paid Holidays 40 hours per week: 36 clinical hours and 4 administrative. A hybrid of In-Person and Telework Malpractice liability provided by the Federal Torts Claims Act (FTCA) 100% Outpatient Practice Flexible schedules and much more…!   Core Job Responsibilities 1. Provide screenings, assessments and diagnoses of mental health conditions and functional assessments identifying barriers to improving and maintaining optimal physical health. 2. Evaluate crisis situations and apply appropriate interventions. 3. Assist in the detection of “at risk” patients and the development of plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration. 4. Assist the primary care team in developing care management processes to improve patient self-management of chronic disease. 5. Provide brief, focused interventions for mental and behavioral health problems and disorders. 6. Actively participate in meetings that support ACCESS’s integrated healthcare model and promote comprehensive care for our patients. 7. Provide consultation and training to the primary care team to enhance their skill and effectiveness in managing the behavioral aspects of patients; care plans and treating mental health problems. 8. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements/Preferences • Master’s degree from an accredited school required. • Current Illinois LCSW/LCPC, LMFT or PsyD licensure required. • Minimum two (2) years, post Master’s degree clinical experience preferred. • Excellent working knowledge of evidenced-based mental health and behavioral inventions. • Oral fluency in Spanish is required for some BHC positions. Working Conditions/Equipment • Health Center environment • Frequent trips to the health centers • Local travel between health centers, hospitals, and home/community visits is required; mode of transportation required, if personal vehicle is employed, a current driver’s license and proof of insurance is required • Remote working options; must have a suitable and secure remote working environment • Ability to sit for up to 4 hours at a time • Ability to stand for up to 2 hours at a time • Computer/laptop • Phone/Fax/Copier/Scanner
