Medical Assistant

Current Opportunity to join our Family Practice & Urgent Care team.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Medical Assistant who is dependable, detail oriented and a skilled problem solver.

Position includes front and back office duties.

Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent patient service and care in a medical setting
- Assist healthcare professionals with medical procedures and examinations
- Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance paperwork
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Assist with coding and billing processes
- Perform Point of Care Testing under the supervision of a licensed professional
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy to accurately perform medical procedures
- Ensure a clean and organized medical environment
- Provide basic life support in emergency situations

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in the role of Medical Assistant

-Completion of a medical assistant training program or relevant certification
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation
- Strong knowledge of medical administrative procedures and protocols
- Experience with medication administration and dosage calculations
- Familiarity with coding systems such as CPT and ICD-10
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques and ability to respond to emergencies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
